Island View has an extensive breakfast menu. Breakfast is best described by Alan J. Heavens in the Philadelphia Inquirer of March 17th, 1991. "John has taken his American and European clientele into consideration by offering a choice. The menu includes cereals, orange juice, bacon, egg, sausage and tomato, or pancakes (crepes) filled with fruit salad or savoury (bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese and mayonnaise); French toast and fruit salad or bacon and sausage or a cheese and fruit platter. Every time we go, he's added something".
Vegetarians are also catered for.
